Built
of wood in 1899, the Royal Wanganui Opera House is a gem of
a building built in a style that would normally be used for a stone
building. Appropriately, the New Zealand Opera School uses
it for the final night of the
school in a
Gala Evening where all the students
come together to sing their own chosen arias. Some of these they
will have been honing to perfection through the week's tuition
classes in
front of audiences at the master classes with voice tutor Paul Farrington
from London.
